Coronavirus Update 24/10/20

The Victorian Government has issued an urgent appeal for people living in Melbourne’s northern suburbs including Dallas, Roxburgh Park, Fawkner, Broadmeadows, Preston and West Heidelberg to be tested for COVID-19, due to an increase in recent positive cases in these parts of Melbourne. Symptoms may include:

  • Loss or change in sense of smell or taste
  • Fever
  • Chills or sweats
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Shortness of breath
  • Runny nose

In certain circumstances headache, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea may also be symptoms.

We’re working with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) with drive-thru testing sites currently operating at Northland and Broadmeadows Central. For more on testing sites visit: dhhs.vic.gov.au/where-get-tested-covid-19

The DHHS continues to advise that good hygiene is critical for slowing the spread of COVID-19, especially after using the bathroom. We have sanitiser located throughout the centre, including at the entry/exit to amenities, and we encourage everyone to make use of the sanitiser regularly to help protect themselves and others and ensure they are wearing a face masks.
