As we approach the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, we will be celebrating and supporting our local Muslim community as they embark on a time of fasting, reflection, self-discipline and their connection to god.
During Ramadan, Muslims observe fasting from dawn until sunset, abstaining from food, drink, and smoking. Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is obligatory for all adult Muslims, with exemptions for certain individuals such as the elderly, pregnant or nursing women, travellers, and those with health conditions.
During this month, you will see a range activity and promotions at Broadmeadows by ways of offering support. From food, gifts, Islamic attire. You can also take a moment to enjoy the Ramadan space to reflect and create meaningful memories.
